Opus has upgraded to the new groups system, and as we are about to launch our first contest started within this time, we have decided to update how the opus functions. Please make sure you read through all the following points to make sure you don’t miss out on any of the new opus fun.
1) To take part in the opus, you now must be a
group member. You can join simply by clicking the ‘join our group’ button. Membership requests are on auto accept, so you won’t be declined.
2) All opus entries must be
submitted to the group as a deviation into the "Featured" folder. This will not only help organise the contest better but also help gain them all some extra exposure.
3) Any questions connected to a current contest should now be noted to the group via the
contact us button. If you have any private questions regarding the group feel free to note `
koffeeben or `
Synfull on their personal accounts
4) The contest organiser will be promoted up to the correct class in the group while they are running their contest. While in this position they will be able to write blogs, vote on entries to accept them as deviations and answer questions via the notes system
5) If you wish to apply to be a contest organiser, please simply note the group and we will add you to the waiting list
6) The winners of the opus will still be judged by the contest host, and announced through the #
EmoticonOpus blog
7) Winners will still be placed in our shoutboard on our blog page as well as in a special Opus winners folder within our gallery (for all new contests)
** Please note: Unfortunately the opus shoutboard was lost when we converted to a group. I do aim to re-create this, but it will take some time. If you have any questions or concerns don’t be afraid to send us a note and we’ll be happy to answer them
